How to attract butterflies to your garden

Butterfly Conservation SA has been advocating for butterflies and moths since it was formed in 1999. Their website has many important resources for the home gardener in South Australia. There is a regional map providing information about plants and butterflies relative to your location, including photographs to help you identify them.  They have also made available a list of factsheets  (scroll down the page, past books and dvds) about their larval food plants, habitat and ecology, distribution and  flight periods of different species.  Jan Forrest , Butterfly Conservation SA will give a talk on butterflies and caterpillars on Thursday March 16 at 7.15 pm  for a 7.30 pm start at the Adelaide Hills Natural Resource Centre. Come along to hear more about these eye catching insects! Gold coin donation. To register, please phone 8390 1891, Tuesday – Thursday or email
