CLEAN UP (NORTON SUMMIT) AUSTRALIA DAY  – SUNDAY MARCH 5TH

Removing rubbish from our roadsides helps to reduce water pollution, injury to wildlife and improves the ambience of our area. Join a team or get friends and neighbours together to clean up your patch. You must register and turn up at the AHNRC at 9.30 to sign on and collect bags, sharps containers and high viz vests.        BYO hats, gloves, sunscreen and water                                                                

butterfly-3BUTTERFLIES AND HOW TO ATTRACT THEM TO YOUR GARDEN, presented by Jan Forrest. Thursday March 16th at 7.30pm  Gold coin donation.                                                                                                         Jan is one of the authors of “Attracting Butterflies to Your Garden” and will talk about the different species of butterflies and what to plant to encourage them into your garden.

Terry Reardon, or “Bat Man” has been researching Australia’s bat population for many years. We rarely see or hear these tiny mammals but they have many environmental benefits. Terry will talk about the various species of micro bats found in the Mt Lofty Ranges also their biology, habitats and the threats they face today.
