5 wonderful people were presented with Quiet Green Achiever awards on Saturday June 4th. They were each nominated for their outstanding contribution to the environment. The winners were:
Richard Wallace for creating the Sustainability Fair 12 years ago with a vision that has seen it grow to become a successful promotion of sustainable technology and lifestyle. Elaine Howson, a long time member of 4th Creek Catchment Group, who was instrumental in setting up “The Patch” with students from Norton Summit Primary School. Maureen Redfern and Paul Farmer have cleared major track areas of weeds, in Black Hill Moraialta Conservation Park, working together for over 20 years and Gabriel Emil Lugg- Restall a 9 year old student at St Catherine’s School. Gabriel is an environmental activist, educating his peers, teachers and community in ways to respect all wildlife and appreciate their role in ecosystems.
